Stephen Day is an architect, developer and consultant who works with a variety of colleagues in realizing great projects.
Stephen's work focuses on preserving and reinterpreting historic architecture, both in terms of the preservation of buildings and in building modern in the context of history. A native of Seattle, Stephen has lived and worked in a variety of communities in the Pacific Northwest, Italy and New York. These combined professional and personal experiences provide a broad range of resources to draw upon in the development of historic landmark properties and mixed-use properties. His clients and collaborators have included individuals, development companies, development lenders, municipalities and nonprofit developers of affordable housing.
Stephen has worked in architecture and historic preservation for over 25 years. He is a past member of the King County Landmarks Commission, past Chair of the Design Review Committee of the Landmarks Commission, and past Chair of the American Institute of Architects (Seattle Chapter) Historic Preservation Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors and past president of The Civita Institute, a nonprofit organization established in 1981 with an arts-based retreat and research facility located in a series of historic structures in Civita di Bagnoregio, Italy.
